Disclosure Policy for Your Own Home Store:

It is important you know that I earn income from this website.  It is also important you know that the compensation received will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog.  I base my decisions of what to post on what I believe is most helpful for you: my readers.  I am also very open to suggestions and feedback as to what you'd like to see here at Your Own Home Store.

I am very grateful for the compensation I receive from this blog as it helps to provide for my family.  It helps us be more self reliant.  I try very hard to be sure that my husband and kids are always my first priority.  However, maintaining this site is nearly a full time job, and I (and my family) do make sacrifices for it at times.  Our time is precious and I am glad that there are ways for me to be compensated for my time while helping and supporting others in becoming more self reliant, prosperous and charitable.

I am compensated in two ways: commission and free product.  If you are interested, here are some details about how I am compensated:

I am an independent consultant with Shelf Reliance and include affiliate links to them in most of my posts.  If you purchase after clicking on these links, I will be compensated with commission (a percentage of the cost of the product) and (typically) free and discounted product.

I choose to donate 1/2 off all the free product I earn to my local food bank.

I use some of the free product I earn to provide the giveways I have on this blog.  I do not currently host giveaways for companies other than Shelf Reliance.  I do not recieve free product from any company other than Shelf Reliance for the review of any product.

I currently am not an affiliate with any company other than Shelf Reliance (although that may change in the future).
 

I am not compensated to provide my opinion on products, services, websites or various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own.  Even if I claim or appear to be an expert on a certain topic or product or service area,  any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider.
